Just a friendly reminder that all are free to post! I'd be interested to see your ideas. I also condensed the rules so they wouldn't be rambling and intimidating. Yeaaah.

Premise: MM!Link feels out of touch with the flow of time, and he begins to contemplate his role/existence/whatever in the world and the Goddesses' grand plan.

Title: I don't have any, really. It's up to the adopter.
Genre: Angst-ish? That or just reflective.
Pairing(s): Add anything that fits, really.
Rating: Whatever the adopter can make it.
Mandates: Can either take place pre-MM, during MM, or post-MM - or all three if you're ambitious.
Deal-breakers: Character-bashing, but that's it. I'd like it to be fairly serious in tone.

Notes: None

I'll start with a simple idea that's been floating around in my head for a while.

Premise: Setting is pre-Spirit Tracks. Tetra tells a young Zelda about the old Hyrule through stories.

Title: Whatever you think sounds cool. Or you can take my totally lame title.
Genre: General/Family
Pairing(s): None
Rating: K - K+
Mandates: Obviously, the history of old Hyrule has to be relayed as a story of some sort, be it a bedtime story or Tetra taking Zelda out on a picnic and telling the tale to pass time. It really doesn't matter. Spoilers for Wind Waker and maybe Ocarina of Time are kind of inevitable, but I think it sort of ruins the sense of ambiguity surrounding Old Hyrule for Tetra to tell Zelda absolutely everything about Old Hyrule. Giving it sort of a mythical/legendary air would be preferable, but whatever works for the adopter, works.
Deal-breakers: Anything that doesn't belong in a completely worksafe story. Mentions of violence are probably inevitable, but implied sexuality, explicit violence/gore, and swearing are pretty much a big no.

Notes: If you're one of those people who thinks Link and Tetra got together after founding New Hyrule and you want to hint at their relationship in the story, knock yourself out.

Hope the tagging makes sense.

...I kind of stole this rubric from the Geass plot bunny comm. Aaanyway. If you want to post a plot bunny, here's the nice little rubric that I would recommend using.

You don't have to use everything on this rubric. At the very least, you should have a premise. You're free to put "N/A" or "none" on other sections.

Premise: The basic idea of the prompt is presented here. For instance, if my prompt was about what would happen if the events of Twilight Princess never happened (i.e., Link acting as the ambassador to Hyrule with the sword and everything), then I would type something like: "Twilight Princess AU where the events of the game never happen and Link acts as Ordon Village's ambassador." You may also specify whether or not you want it to be multi-chapter or a oneshot in this area, but that will ultimately be in the hands of the adopter.

Title: If you have one, you may post it here.
Genre: This is pretty self-explanatory. I would recommend using the FF.N genres.
Pairing(s): If you have any, put them here.
Rating: Please do not use the MPAA rating system; use the FF.N rating system or something such as "3+, 7+, 13+, 17+"
Mandates: More or less what has to be in the story. At the very least, they are strong suggestions for what the original author is looking for. Mandates should elaborate on things such as plot points, character relationships, or setting. Please remember to keep this section fairly pithy, as we want to encourage adopters to put their unique spin on adopted bunnies.
Deal-breakers: This is the section where you list what absolutely cannot be done in the story, period. It can be anything from serious OOC-ness to character-bashing. Again, keep this section fairly pithy.

Notes: Put anything else you want to say right here.

Here's a textarea for your copy-and-pasting pleasure.

Have any questions? Think something needs to be added? Comment and I will answer as soon as possible!

Welcome to the Zelda Plot Bunny community! The premise of this community is to allow users to share ideas for fanfiction with prospective "adopters." Every writer has dealt with writer's block at some point, and there are other times when you just want to write but lack a good prompt or idea. Other people may get ideas but lack the time, patience, or ability to start them. This community hopes to remedy these problems by allowing people to share and adopt prompts and plot bunnies.

Before we get started, I'd like to go over a few rules:

1) PLEASE think before you put a plot bunny/prompt up for adoption. Once it's up, it's pretty much up. Anything Zelda-related is allowed here, from crossovers to drabbles to multi-chapter to epically long oneshots.
2) Be sure to provide a basic overview of setting, characters, pairings, plot points, etc. if you have them. You want to give adopters an idea of what your story is about but not direct them.
3) Don't bash or flame. Please don't.
4) Claims are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Adopters are free to ask the original authors anything they like, as long as it's on-topic, and they are also free to change details. Please give credit for the idea to the original author and please do try to fill prompts!
5) No explicit 18+ material is allowed here. That's what zelda_kink is for.

That's really all I can think of right now, but if you have any questions, leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Have fun!
